Educational Visits On Line Virtual Environment

EVOLVE is a useful tool to help you manage visits within safe parameters and encourage you to provide  those core, fundamental extra-mural opportunities for the children and young people for whom you are responsible.

Please remember to submit any forms requiring DBC approval at least 2 weeks in advance of the proposed visit. This includes any Residential, overseas or adventurous visits. Currently we have limited resources to check the forms and we are unable to do this on a daily basis.

If you need help in using EVOLVE, in the first instance please contact your institutional Education Visits Coordinator (EVC). If you need further support or have any suggestions on how EVOLVE can be improved please contact me using the links on this site.

June 2011 note:

Please do not use the example Risk Assessments in Appendix D of the original DBC Guidance document, as they have now been updated. The latest RAs can be downloaded from this site when creating your visit forms. The Guidance document on Evolve has now had this section removed; you may wish to remove this from any printed copies you may have.
